The different refractory bricks are applied in the different part of coke oven according to the different working temperatures and its act characteristics.  Also the features of refractory bricks have to be considered. The silicon brick is used in the combustion chamber, the wall of carbonization chamber, the upper part of inclined flue and regenerator of coke furnace because the high refractoriness and load softening point are required in these parts. The fire clay bricks are used in the roof of furnace, regenerator, flue and basement of coke furnace because the temperature is lower in these parts. The fire clay bricks and high alumina bricks are used in the head of carbonizing chamber and coal charging hole because the temperature changes frequently in these parts. The refractory bricks having big thermal capacity and quick heat adsorption and giving out is used in the regenerator chamber as the checker brick.
